it's leviosaaa

In eager anticipation of the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Alejandra and Jeannie are going to have the best HPfest ever. Starting now, we will read two books and watch two movies a month until the 6th movie comes out. Along the way, we'll be posting our inane musings and ridiculous questions and it'll be awesome.
Jeannie will probably hijack this blog and post random things about other fandoms too, so.. you've been warned.

don’t you wish i could lj-cut this shit?

please excuse the typos. our typing skillz die when we get hyped out over our boy harry and his pals. also, this took place like a week ago.

A: so its right after harry finds crouch all in the bushes and then runs to get dumbledore
A: you know, and then they come back and he’s gone and the trio is wondering who could have done it
A: they suggest snape did it and then ron says something about he would have to turn into a bat A: and fly up to the tower to have gotten there before harry
A: and there is a part of one of the other books, where snape turns into a bat or something, right?
A: am i totally making that up
me: hmmmmmm
A: when he turns “bad”
A: omg
A:MUST FIND
me: i am googling this
me: because it does sound familiar
me: omg
me: http://www.beyondhogwarts.com/harry-potter/articles/sinking-our-teeth-into-the-character-of-snape.html
me: ok that’s something entirely different
me: ol but stil lfun
A: this website is awesome
A: oh man seriously.. is there a time iwhere he jumps out of something…
A: and he is described as batlike?
me: ok so what we can conclude is that in deathly hallows, harry def sees a batlike creature flies off into the distance
me: but it was never verfied if it was snape
A: argh
me: “You mean he’s dead?” Harry sprinted to the window, ignoring Flitwick’s and Sprout’s yells of shock at his sudden appearance. “No, he’s not dead,” said McGonagall bitterly. “Unlike Dumbledore, he was still carrying a wand…and he seems to have learned a few tricks from his master.” With a tinge of horror, Harry saw in the distance a huge, batlike shape flying through the darkness toward the perimeter wall. (DH pg 599/482)
A: well it def hit me when i read that part
A: OK srsly, that is SOOOO telling
A: why else would she write that
me: lol idk
A: blast!
A: well, i think he is at least an animagus
me: because we all know there can be plenty more unregistered animagi
A: marauders, rite skeeter
A: who else?
me: that’s all i know of, but still.
A: yeah, there arent supposed to be that many out there in the first place
A: also i have SO MANY QUESTIONS about mad-eye
me: dude me too
me: i mean even after the end
A: it almost feels like a cope-out to have him be BC JR
me: yeah
me: i mean he was sooo gentle with neville!
me: totally threw me off
A: even w harry
me: indeed!
A: i dont understand how moody-crouch was so nice the entire time
me: right????
A: also, why the magical eye worked on him
me: lol yeah
A: and i totally dont remember the deal with lugo bagman
A: or if he actually just likes harry a lot
me: you’ll find out
A: ack
A: also the more i try to remember this movie- the more confused i get about the order of events!
A: so annoying
me: yeah
me: i remember this movie so well and it’s not gelling with the book like at all
me: which is prob why i’m extra confused about moody
A: yeah
A: dang we really need to eat a lunch together
A: also i ust need to finish it
A: While Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be out in theaters July 15, fans will have to wait until July 29 to see the movie in IMAX. Jeff from TV Watch Online emailed IMAX and got this response: Basically what happened is IMAX Corporation signed a contract with Paramount guaranteeing them a 4 week exclusive window if they filmed parts of Transformers 2 with IMAX cameras onto IMAX film (something that is quite a bit more expensive). Unfortunately that was back when Harry Potter was due to open November 2007 and when Warner Bros. pushed back the opening date Paramount was not willing to renegotiate the contract it had signed with IMAX. Thanks to Jeff for letting us know about the delay.
A: SHIT
me: WHAT????

A: we totally EFFED UP
me: how did we ef up?
A: now we dont have tickets for opening night
me: wait we can’t get them anymore?

A: although i may just die
me: yeah i dont know…
me: ok right now on fandango, there aren’t that many theaters that have tickets listed
me: so i think more theaters will be added later?
A: hmm ok
A: yeah!

A: happy again
me: right now the only one that looks halfway decent or close is the regal in union sq
me: and there’s just no way that there’s only going to be 2 pgs of theaters playing hp
A: hahaha
A: SO TRUE
A: union qould be ok, but id prefer lincoln due to distance
me: yeah
